Our Studio

Located at 1938 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134, our facility was specifically designed and engineered for pre-professional ballet training.

The space features two expansive studios outfitted with professional-grade Marley flooring, high ceilings, and exceptional natural light. To support the holistic health of our dancers, the facility also includes a dedicated conditioning and Pilates room alongside a comfortable warm-up and waiting area.

Originally built and carefully curated by respected former colleagues, the facility was crafted to cultivate a warm, inspiring, and welcoming environment. It is within these walls that Seattle Ballet Conservatory looks forward to anchoring its home and legacy for generations of dancers to come.

Our intimate studio layout is intentionally designed to support smaller class sizes. This capped occupancy ensures that every student receives dedicated, personalized attention and individualized feedback from our faculty during every single class.

Our Story

Founded by Artistic Director Emily Helman Berry, Seattle Ballet Conservatory is fueled by an immense passion for mentoring the next generation of dancers and fostering a lifelong love for the art form. Having served on the faculty at Adage Ballet Academy for over two years, Emily developed a deep connection to both the students and the beautiful SoDo studio space—which was previously known to the community as Adage Ballet Academy. Following the conclusion of Adage, she felt a profound calling to keep the studio's legacy alive rather than letting the space vanish from the community. Driven by her devotion to her students and a desire to preserve their artistic home, Emily stepped into this new endeavor. She is thrilled to bring exceptional pre-professional ballet training, individualized mentorship, innovative in-house choreographic projects, specialized workshops, and comprehensive cross-training to the Seattle community—providing a warm, welcoming home designed to inspire excellence and artistry for generations to come.
